Complete Helmet Repaint

Description

This package includes the stripping of all layer of post-war paints, primers and rust from the helmet shell bringing it back to bare steel. The shell is prepped then painted with four layers of oil based enamel paint using a pneumatic paint gun. The paint is heat cured for several hours for maximum durability. The helmet paint is textured as historical accuracy dictates. We offer your choice of real aluminum oxide powder or sifted saw dust for German M40s and M42s. For U.S. M1  and Kelly Transitional helmets we offer granulated cork, ground to McCord factory specifications. Every color we use is matched to original paint samples, and is identical to what was used during the period.
