Description

The helmet was restored to look like a true “In county” Vietnam War paratrooper helmet. The helmet is an original rear seam M1 made by Ingersoll during their 1960s helmet contract. The helmet still retains the original silica textured light green paint.

The helmet’s liner is a true original Firestone rigger paratrooper liner. The A yokes were cut off at some point; new ones have been installed. The suspension, sweatband and nape strap are all original 1960s Vietnam war era. The chin cup is also original, Vietnam era issue and is properly US marked.

The helmet’s cover is high-quality reproduction. The cover was installed onto the helmet being boiled then allowed to shrink onto the helmet shell. This was a common practice during the war.

The graffiti was applied using various felt pens to show they might have been applied at different times. These phrases are all type that were using during the war.

A true “In county ” NAM helmet is pretty rare today. Most of old film props. Now you can have the next best thing at a reasonable price.
