This is an original restored USMC fixed loop M1 with a Firestone liner. The helmet has been heavily distressed to look and feel original. Perfect for any Pacific WWII collector or display.
Description
This is an original restored U.S. M1 fixed loop helmet. The shell was made by McCord. The inside was stamped with a 300 series lot number putting production of the shell in 1943.
The helmet was stripped of all post war paint and was properly repaint and recorked the proper shade of WWII olive drab. The helmet’s liner was made in 1943 by Firestone and has been rebuilt to reflect early production from this factory, with steel unpainted A washers.
The helmet has been fit with a museum quality USMC helmet cover. The cover was made by WWII impressions.
The helmet has been heavily aged to reflect service in the South Pacific. The cover has a nice, faded look and feel reflecting both salt and sun damage.
