Description
Original restored 1944 production German M42 helmet in size 62. The shell was made by Eisenhuttenwerke and is maker marked with the CkL stamp used by this firm after 1943.
The helmet has been restored to look like it might have seen action in the last winter campaigns of WWII including the Ardennes. The helmet was over painted with a coat of white enamel and fitted with an iron wire basket. The wire has bits of splinter camo secured to it for further camouflage. The shell is fit with a size 55 reproduction liner, real pig skin was used as was typical in 1943-45. The chinstrap is RB marked and dated 1943.
The helmet has been heavily aged to look and feel original. This one has that vet pick up look. Perfect for any WWII display.
