Restored original German M40 size 68/61 helmet. Comes fit with the proper liner, chinstrap, SS decal and dome stamp. Looks exactly as it would have in 1941

Description

This is a 100% original restored German M40 helmet in the rarely encountered size 68. The helmet is ET68 marked indicating it was made by Eisenhuttenwerke. The lot number indicates 1941 production. The helmet was fully stripped of post-war paint and repainted the proper shade of aluminum oxide textured field fray. The ET pattern SS decal was applied using period resin. The inside of the dome was ink stamped with the ET pattern inspector’s mark used in 1941.

The helmet comes fit with an original rebuild liner in size 68/61. The leather has all the proper stamps and wool felt pad. The chinstrap is dated 1941 to match the helmet. If you need a large-size helmet, you can’t do better than this.
