German M40 size 60/53 Heer Medic’s helmet
$399.00
Original restored German M40 helmet in size 60/53. Painted and distressed to look like an original medic’s helmet.
Description
This is an original restored German M40 helmet. The shell is size 60 and was made in 1942 by Sachsishe Emaillerwerke, Lauter. This is the smallest helmet made by the German during WWII.
The shell was stripped of post-war paint and repainted the correct shade of rough textured field gray. The Heer decal was applied with period resin like the originals. The inside was stamped with a period correct inspector’s ink stamp.
The medic insignia was applied by hand like all originals were. The helmet was then heavily aged to look and feel original.
The liner is a museum quality replica with vintage aged pig skin leather. The chinstrap is RB marked with steel hardware as is generally seen after 1941.
This is a great looking example of a “Sani” helmet. Perfect for your bookshelf.
