German M35 helmet in size 68/61. Restored to look new from the factory in 1939. Comes with proper liner and chinstrap and all the little details you’d expect.
Description
This German helmet restoration was made using an original 1939 production shell produced by Eisenhuttenwerke in 1939. The helmet shell was stripped of all post-war paint the repainted the correct shade of pre-war smooth apple green. The paint was heat cured for maximum durability using an enamel similar to what was available in the 1930s. Both SS decals were applied using period resin. The decals used here are the versions use on helmets made at this particular factory in 1939. The helmet was also ink stamped in the dome. Helmets from this factory were stamped with undated inspector’s marks from this higher 4000s series lot number.
The helmet comes fit with a reenforced aluminum liner set into the helmet with 1939 dated brass split pins. The chinstrap is likewise dated 1939.
The helmet comes factory fresh and looks as it did in 1939 when it was new from the factory. Perfect for a collector or reeneactor.
