German M35 size 66/59 Circa 1939

Description

This is an original restored German M35 helmet in the desirable size 66. The shell was made by Eisenhuttenwerke in early 1939. Research on the heating lot number indicates it may have been issued to a Heer unit, but that can’t be 100% known.

The shell was stripped of post-war paint and repainted the correct shade of pre-war smooth apple green. The inside of the dome was then ink stamped with a proper inspector’s stamp. The helmet was then fit with a 1939 dated museum quality replica liner, and chinstrap The split pins are pre-war brass as is correct for a pre 1940 production helmet.
