Original fully restored German M35 helmet. The shell was made in 1937 and has been properly repainted and has the correct liner and chinstrap perfect for a reenactor.
Description
This is an original restored German M35. The shell was made by Eisenhuttenwerke in early 1937. The factory stamp was applied in gothic script which was eliminated in late 1937. The helmet is free of pitting, cracks and welds and look much as it did when it was made. These early M35s were worn not just by the German military but were also exported to China to be worn by Chinese nationalist units.
The helmet was stripped of post-war paint and repainted the correct shade of mid 1930s smooth pea green. The inside of the dome has the proper 1937 dated inspector’s ink stamp.
The helmet comes fit with the proper 1937 dated unreinforced aluminum liner set into the helmet with brass spit pins and slotted washers. The chinstrap is dated 1937 and has the proper aluminum hardware. All the little decals are here. The split pins have been painted a slightly different shade of gray green as is commonly observed in original examples.
The helmet comes with your choice of museum quality decals. You may pick from SS, Police, Heer, KM or even a hand stenciled Chinese nationalist insignia.
