Description

This is an original German M35 helmet produced by Eisenhuttenwerke between 1936-37. The helmet is void of all stamps. Helmets like this were made by the Germans and sent to Spain as Aid during the Spanish Civil War. They would have been worn by both the famed Condor legion and Spanish Nationalist troops. Some of these did return to German inventory when the Condor legion was withdrawn but the majority of these helmets stayed in Spain and were worn by their troops well into the post war era.

The helmet was stripped of post war paint and repainted to factory specs. The Spanish received both Luftwaffe blue helmets and apple green as seen here. The helmet was fit with an unreinforced aluminum liner dated 1937 and a chinstrap dated 1937 to match. The liner is set into the helmet with the proper brass split pins and slotted washers.

The helmets appears as it would have in 1937. While this helmet most likely stayed in Spain it is exactly the same as the version worn by German troops and German decals are available should the buyer request them.
