Description

This is M38 Fallschirmjäger helmet is a high-quality reproduction made by FJ Werke here in the US. It has all the details found on an original example including the proper ET71 stamp and a real lot number. If this helmet were original, it would have been made in 1941.

The helmet was painted the proper shade of field gray textured with aluminum oxide powder. The inside was even marked with an ET inspector’s ink stamp. The Luftwaffe decal was applied with period resin and is the version used on FJ helmet.

The helmet’s liner is period correct for helmets made in the 1940-41 period. The goat skin leather is stamped with the correct maker marks and sewn together with cotton and linen thread. The liner has the proper “railroad track” stitching a hall marked on all originals. The spacers and crash pad are made from real Buna rubber. The chinstrap has original period hardware including zinc coated steel Prymm snaps.

The helmet was brush painted with a coat RAL 8020, one of the many versions of DAK tan.  The finish was then heavily distressed to look and feel original.

Original DAK helmets sell for upwards of 18k. Here is a great example for a price you can afford.
