This is an original restored early 1938 production M35. The helmet was fully stripped of post-war paint then repainted the correct shade of pre-war apple green. The helmet is Q64 marked.
The helmet’s restoration is based helmet the helmets worn by the combat units within the SS including the Waffen-SS. This is the exact type of helmet worn by the SS during operations in Poland and France.
The helmet has been fit with a reproduction 1938 dated helmet liner. The split pins and slotted washers are brass as was used prior to 1940. The distressed chinstrap is dated 1939, and is a museum quality replica with aluminum hardware.
