This is a rare fully restored German M18 helmet in size 64. It is maker marked BF indicating it was made by F.C. Bellinger, Fulda. The helmet was likely made sometime after June of 1918. The helmet was fully stripped of all post-war paint. It was then repainted the correct shade of WWI matte field gray. There is a AK ink stamp on the helmet’s skirt indicating it was inspected by the Abnahmekommando as is often seen on originals.
The helmet comes fit with the correct three pad liner with chromed white pads. Each one of the pads has a horse hair pillow in it. They can be remove for extra room if needed. The helmet will fit between a size 56 and 58 cm hat size. The chinstrap is riveted into place and has the correct painted steel carbine clip.
This is a perfect helmet for late-war German reenactor or a collector who wants a mint condition example for his collection.
