This original M1 helmet was restored to look like it was worn by an American medic.
The helmet was made by McCord Radiator. The heating lot number would indicate mid 1943 production. The helmet shell was fully stripped of all the layers of post-war paint then properly recorked and painted the WWII shade of olive drab.
The Geneva crosses were hand rendered as was standard practice. The helmet’s liner was made by Firestone. It has been fully rebuilt with correct WWII HBT suspension. The sweatband as well as liner chinstrap are the mid-war versions.
The helmet has been aged to look and feel original. This is probably one of the most famous helmets of WWII and would fit perfectly into any collection.
